This year marks our 2 year anniversary since starting the Finding Freedom with Fibromyalgia workshops. The last time we posted about the programme we shared our interim report from 2023.
Before we jump in. Let’s recap what the Finding Freedom with Fibromyalgia programme was and what it achieved:
The 12 week programme—developed alongside people living with fibromyalgia and chronic illness—was shaped by the voices, needs, and lived experiences of people living with fibromyalgia. We welcomed guest speakers including a pharmacist, a pain management specialist, and a counsellor who had personally recovered from fibromyalgia.
Group members experienced remarkable outcomes, including:
- Increased pain tolerance and mobility
- Greater confidence and self-understanding
- A sense of community and shared support
Testimonials That Speak for Themselves
“It should be available on the NHS”
With permission, we’ve included written reflections from participants. These testimonials are rare and precious—because for someone living with fibromyalgia, even writing can be a significant energy investment. Their words reflect not just gratitude, but transformation.
“I’m grateful for what I’ve learned, and for the lovely people I’ve met…”, “This course has been fantastic.” “It was a lifeline for me…”,”It should be available on the NHS!”
These stories remind us why this work matters—and why it must continue.
What’s Happening Behind the Scenes

We’re already working hard to make the 2026 workshops even more responsive, inclusive, and nourishing. That means listening, adapting, and co-creating with the community. We’ll also be sharing more about our partners soon—whose support has been instrumental in making this programme possible.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Whether you’ve attended, supported, referred, or simply cheered us on—you’re helping build something vital and lifechanging.
More updates soon. For now, rest gently and know that your story matters.
