We are so excited to announce that we will be running the workshops mentioned above (Parental Support; Social Skills & Relationships; and Sexuality, Gender & Autism) next week at the Chitra Sethia Autism Centre in Fulbourn, Cambridge.
This is a huge opportunity and we are so grateful. We’re looking forward to meeting and working with new people, and meeting some colleagues in person for the first time.

Parental Support Workshop: ‘Interpreting your child’s behaviour’ 10:30am – 12pm.

In this workshop we will help parents with determining what external factors can cause changes in behaviour and strategies to support.
Social Skills and Relationships
12:30pm – 2:15pm

In this workshop, we work together and discuss issues like dating, identifying risk factors in relationships (romantic and platonic), trust, and appropriate behaviours.
The aim of these workshops is break down the functions of certain social behaviours.
The way we see it is that good social skills are not about denying who you are or fitting into an odd shaped mold that forces you to be someone or something else. Good social skills are about finding your voice, celebrating who you are, and celebrating others in turn.
Sexuality, Gender and Autism
2:45pm – 4:30pm

In this session we discuss gender dysphoria, sexuality
and the autism spectrum. We discuss support strategies, self-advocacy and self-acceptance.
