It’s time for our Great Taste Awards news! Our beautiful gluten-free plant-based and vegan friendly tahini brownies have won a Great Taste Award!
The Great Taste Awards are the largest and most trusted food and drink awards on Earth. Considered the “Oscars” of the food world and the “epicurean equivalent of the Booker prize”. We felt it was time to enter.
This year’s awards saw more than 14,000 entries and only 5,383 products worldwide received a Great Taste accolade of 1-, 2- or 3-stars.
Any product that has a Great Taste logo is a product that has been through a rigorous and independent judging process. It’s not about smart packaging, clever marketing or how popular your brand is – it’s all about taste.
We won a 1-star Award which means our Tahini brownies are “simply delicious” – A food that delivers fantastic flavour! You can now find us on the Guild of Fine Foods award-winning website.

The judges comments were wonderful and we are so thrilled to share them with you:
This looks like a delicious slab of brownie with the swirls of tahini giving it a marbled appearance. It looks lovingly home-made. On tasting, it is soft and gooey and loaded with chocolate but has plenty of sesame tahini to contrast; the two flavours work really well together. When you get the biscuity bits it really enhances the flavour and texture and is very clever.
This brownie is one of the most interesting looking brownies we’ve seen. The swirls are lovely to look at. It is dense when cut through and we love the fudgy texture. The rich fruity chocolate has good bitterness that integrates with the fabulous sesame notes of the tahini. It’s not overly sweet which allows the chocolate and tahini to shine. It also has great length of flavour. We love the smooth texture in our mouths and the little jewels of tahini inside. This is a beautifully made product with a well-judged flavour profile.
